"I have come not to do as much as other men, but more!". A look into the stories of five Arctic explorers, all with Whitby connections, each made considerable contributions to Arctic exploration, putting their mark on the map, yet only Cook and Scoresby have remained well known through the years. Our Shipping and Cook curator, Dennis Buck is here to put that right! 

Talk lasts around one hour, ticket price includes a cup of tea or coffee. Please arrive 1:45 for a 2pm start. Tickets go off online sale the night before the event, any remaining tickets will be available on the door on the day. Tickets can also be purchased from Whitby Museum reception.
