Holman’s, Whitby’s Time Travelling Bookshop – Writings, Photographs and Memories of Whitby’s Oldest Bookshop

Talk by Angela O’Connor of Holman’s Bookshop about the 250-year-old history of the shop’s Skinner Street premises. Rob Williams, Whitby Museum Archivist, will also be explaining how the research facilities and photographic archive at the Museum assisted in the production of Angela’s book. The first edition was published in November 2025 to commemorate Holman's 105^th anniversary and was updated in May 2026 with an additional 35 pages of stories and photographs.

Advance tickets can be bought through museum reception or by phone 01947 602908. Tickets are free but must be booked - a £1 booking fee aplies for tickets booked online.
